Application of alloying elements

Chemical element	Application area
Cr	Chrome is used to prevent Al-Mg alloys from grain growth, it stops crystallization in Al-Mg-Si and Al-Mg-Zn
Cu	Copper is mostly added to increase durability
Fe	Iron improves temperature strength
Mn	Manganese improves durability and helps to prevent crystallization
Ti	Titanium provides grain depuration
